Venting Exhaust

Im getting ready to run my burner exhaust out the roof of my box truck. Ive replaced a section of the kemlite (transparent top) with aluminum, now I just need to figure out the best way to make it water tight. I was going to use double wall chimney pipe, but at the top im not sure what to use to keep it water tight. I thought about using some flashing, cutting it down, and sliding the pipe threw it. Just not sure if that would be the best way or not. Anyone here ever done this or have a enclosed trailer or box truck that they could send me a picture of the roof where the burner comes threw at? I found alot of pictures on the internet, just none of the top of the box/trailer.

Since the truck will be driven, I would think that the seal needs to be somewhat flexible so the driving will not crack/break the seal.

Maybe some RV places online might have solutions as a lot of RV's have ovens in them, maybe they vent through the roof?

I seen that sunbrite has a kit for it, looks like it has a draft diverter or something on it, didnt think I needed that. I emailed them about it last week, just waiting to hear back. Curious how those attach to the roof.

We have used 90 degree elbows on top of the burners before and some we don't even vent. It's almost another 6 foot to the top of the truck and I have never had any problems with them for 12 years. We don't even cut a vent out in our cargo vans. Just keep the burners running clean.

yea I actually made mine out of something a little diffrent then that, Great water tight and got it locally. I have a kemlite top. I think that might get pretty hot for a kemlite top.

I should have specified.. this vent stack we made..
has ceramic wool insulation, and doesn't cost you "research and development time"..
For others that read this thread, looking for a vent which is ready to use, and the right tool for the job..
this stainless steel, "permenant-fixture" vent is ready for install,
and is readily available.
