Vac Tank

Mike,
That looks like a custom made tank, similar to what Fleetwash uses. You can get other tanks the same size from vendors though.

I agree with Scott. It does look like a homemade job. It's kind of a weird photo tho'. I'm sure Fed Ex is happy they are reclaiming, but from the dams and the limited quantity of them it seems as tho its almost more for show than function. They are going to do that for two trucks at a time, and then move all the equipment and start all over again? Seems like a lot of wasted time, and time is money in this business. Fed Ex is way to tight to pay someone to invest that kind of time in what appears to be such an inefficient system. My guess is that you should be able to get this account fairly easily. Good Luck!

I know Fleetwash manufactures all their own stuff, or at least assembles parts to make their own stuff. The only place I have seen a tank similar to that is on a fleetwash truck, but it is not a vacuum tank. It is a tank on the truck that is driven by the supervisors to "collect" waste water. Kind of funny since in all the times I have seen them washing, I have only seen them recover one time.

So it boils down to an expensive decoration.

Carlos,
Thanks I will give them a call. Hopefully, they will help me or point me in the right direction.

Scott,
I have found that Fleetwash is primarily marketing hype and low price. We always go after service and a quality job. We don't win them all but the customers we get are the ones we want and keep. There is a lot to be said about getting customers that won't jump around based on a lower price. Anyway, I am sure you know this and I am preaching to the choir.
