Using 90 Degree fittings on Pump?

Gonna start using an unloader block, wondering if it's bad to put a couple of 90 degree elbows to make a neater more compact assembly? Wondering about flow restriction. Even thought about getting some adapters to up size the connector hose and elbows to 1/2" to compensate for the 90 degree bends.

Thanks,
Jeff

How many gpm Jeff? Elbows on the outlet are no where the big deal that they are on the inlet. A couple of 3/8" 90°s on a 5 gpm machine shouldn't cause any problems at all. If you're doing 8 gpm, then 1/2" fittings would help.

Thanks Russ, it is the TSF2021 pump 7-8 GPM,.. so you recommend the 1/2" adapters? You bring up another question for me: The pump is being fed from 300 Gallon tank, pump supplied by one inch hose about two feet long. Now, I've seen where dual feed is sometimes recommended,..would this be case for dual feed?

Thanks,
Jeff

I try not to use abrupt 90's, a sweep elbow is better if there's room. Some of the General techs are very adamant about that on the supply side. Stainless rules peace out

If you want stainless there may only be a very few local suppliers or order online, I had to ask a few times to get referred to the one place here. It's a pretty standard plumbing 'elbow', just a continuous curve instead of a right turn.

Sorry Jeff, I missed your post. I'd do 1/2" plumbing and a 1/2" mounting block too.

I would also dual feed it.
