Truck washing help

Scott, I have seen it and used it.

It does not etch glass if it dries, it does not dull the paint if it dries on it.

You can let it dry and go back hours or maybe even days later and just rinse it off.

It is very good soap.

Kory, see Marilyn at Florida Chemical Supply on Chelsea street in Tampa.
ASK her what Fleet uses, tell her you are MY friend.
She is a practical Chemist, and can help you :)

So, does it rinse clean after it dries without hitting every square inch?
Scott not sure on the exact method of washing you are referring to here, but I can give you a run down.

If you Upstream STW-75 you can use it wash a entire fleet and then come back and rinse no brushing needed.

If you downstream STW-75 onto trucks and don't brush them, then you can wash a entire fleet, and come back and rinse them all.

But
If you downstream STW-75, and brush the trucks, then if they dry on the vehicles you would have the re brush the streaks it leaves behind.

Wow Kory! I've never seen a fleetwash rep get anything that clean, including their own truck! If you've watched them does it look like they're two-stepping? How long does it take them to wash each truck? What does the lift gate look like before you guys start washing it? I unfortunately agree, the film left over from your wash job does look pretty bad. Personally, if they're only getting $8 per truck and there are only 1-3 per location, I'd say let them lose money on that account while you look for something that will make it worthwhile getting up in the morning!

I hit it today with a stronger mix of brightner the grime was not there as much, but the gate still did not get Glossy. Better than before but not to my expectations. I would have to buff it to get it that shinny
I don't two step the trucks I was that often, but I think I have read on one of these boards somewhere, that if you two step a truck frequently that it can dull the glossy finish. Perhaps that could be whats happening.

Kory, did you find a solution?

Just wondering if you got that film off or if it is still a problem.

I just got done with it. I used a stronger mix of the Stw-75 and a new brightner. I am getting much-much better results not 100% yet but getting there. I have been Soaping then Acid then Soap agian. I seen the trucks fleet wash did this week (Not So Good!) I also looked and the trucks they cleaned two weeks ago are now only a month old. The still suck at the rims and tires.

Hey Kory,
It looks like they have some sort of wax on there on the last photos that you included. They look shiny, but also look dirty once you look beyond the shine. It seems like your going thru a lot of work and expense for trucks that are fetching $8 each and are scattered all over the place. I'd move on to something profitable!

Kory, do some finger swipes on their work and see what if anything comes off.

The difference could be just that they are adding a downstreamable wax to make it shiny to hide their "quality" work or distract from it.

You might get some of the wet wax from Steve Rowlett and give it a try on a few of them and see what that does.

Imagine what the wax difference would be on them when you clean them good then add some wax on them when you are done.

Those gates have ben wiped clean with a towel, or maybe scrubbed with a mitt. They also did not do the worlds best job at it.
At $8 a truck, unless there are a BUNCH at each location (read moire than 20) My experience says dont do it.
