Personally, I think it depends on what type of job you are doing. I would not dream of having a trailer that was taller then the top of my truck. I also would not want the heaters to be up that high. Most of my units are flatbeds, though. I like them because of the type of work they are used for, they look better, and are for more efficient.
Its just a lot less hassle all the way around with a flatbed
I think my next move will be to a flatbed and then keep my trailer for my water recovery unit. The only thing I am concerned with is if something happens to the truck while I've got a full schedule. That would be quite the hassle trying to break everything down and set it up on another truck or trailer. The only way I know to try and streamline that is to build everything onto a removable skid that can be pulled off with a forklift in one shot. Anyone ever do this? I would love to see some pictures if so.
