Tote tanks

Does anyone use these tanks? The ones with the cage around them. I am thinking about buying one. I have a few subdivisions that the fence area around the entrances need to be cleaned that dont have a water source close by. My local PW dealer has them for $150.00 for 300 gallon. I am interested in the pro and cons of them.

Thats ALL we use. You can find them for free at big highway concrete pouring jobs and up here they go for 75 on craigslist.

Wow that sounds pretty cheap. I don't have one, but I've seen them on a lot of trailers.

I looked on craigslist and didn't find any. I might look around before I buy. Whats usually in them?

Is the plastic thinner so that they need the cage for support?

Yeah, the plastic is a little thinner, but you can't beat $60 TO $70 a pop for 275 gallons. The cages are a good place to mount the signs for the business on, just use self tapping screws. Their foot print is about the size of a pallet.

Thats what I am looking at Larry. Tampa is a little far to drive. About 2.5 hours from here. I can get them for 150.00. i would like to find some free ones. I might look around a little before I buy.

I buy mine for $55 for 225 gal cleaned out. All types of companies use them. Oil for trucking companies. Cutting oil for machine shops etc. Craigslist is our source here too.

I don't like them because the plastic is thin, plus, it is not designed as a long term storage device. I also do not think that the plastic is UV stabilized. But that is just me being demanding.

Most of the jobs I do all have water access. I'm only planning on using it once in a while when water is not available.

The seem pretty darn tough to me, at the price just change them out every couple of years if you think you need to.

DJ, you just wanted an excuse to post pictures of your 'baby'
