Totally off Subject ( about Food )

I want to make some Hot Tamale's .. has anyone ever bought a tamale kit or know of a good kit ..

Never made them and I like to cook. I buy ours from a local Mexican church that sells them for fund raisers. $1 each and they are great. I freeze them for year round tamales.

My employees wives always cook Christmas tamales. The gas station on the corner sells homemade also for a dollar each. Delicious

Well I am going to be up north next week I guess I will go to greenville and get some from DOE'S Place.. Supposed to be the best ... I just hope I can survive the trip back after eating about half a dozen ...

Way back when, when President Ford was in San Antonio. The local politicos wanted to give the new pres some Texas flare. They served him up some tamales. Instead of unwrapping it he takes a bite shuck and all. The funniest thing Ive ever seen. The pres gnawing on a Tamale trying to bite it in two. Finally someone came to his rescue and unwrapped it.

When I grew up we left Santa cookies and milk. My friends from New Mexico left Santa Tamales and a Coke.
