I've got a 3.8gpm evap cleaning unit that runs around 270+ degrees. I want to run it at about 225 at full flow. Can I bring that down by turning down the fuel pressure? Or should I just install a thermostat?

I would put a lower thermostat in it. This will kick the burner off at lower temps, thus saving fuel if you have a fuel return line. What kind of burner do you have?
