Tire Marks

A lady called and said every time she has her driveway washed she has tire marks all over it the next day and it doesnt look like it was ever cleaned. she wanted to know if i could do anything... what would be best to tell her, would some sort of sealer work? any suggestions

Sodium Hydroxide will remove allot of it. I had a painter one time use a push broom with sand on top of the marks to scrub them off. Lot of work but looked pretty good.

Is she saying that the tire marks were never moved? If they were and shes putting them back she may be braking to hard or something. To remove them sodium hydroxide should do the trick.

yeah, she is marking it again and wanted to know of a way to prevent it so it looks mark free all the time? I dont really know what to tell her?

I am in and out of my driveway everyday with heavy trucks, and i dont have any marks? It's probably a weak concrete pour?

I think the problem she's having is where she turns in and out of a garage. If you have to turn your wheels to navigate in or out it will leave those marks where the tire is grinding while not moving. They kinda look like half moons.

it could be the finish. A trowel finish would be slicker so that it would leave fewer marks. A sealant might make it so that the tires would not scrub off rubber when she came in the drive. the downside is that it would be really slick to walk on when it was wet.

I got a call similar to this. Someone else was cleaning it and they were using some kind of a soap and not rinsing it very good and it was kind of sticky in spots and it left tire marks where the soap wasn't rinsed off good enough. I went over it with hot water and the surface cleaner, no more tire marks.
