This will be fun

nick, have you used/do you use the gum buster machines when you come across heavy gum deposits?

Have you found chlorine to make a significant difference in reducing/removing presence of gum shadows?

recently I applied chlorine to gum shadows post-washing and noticed a big improvement.

Well there you go, that's my tip of the day...After you are done with removing all the gum and surfaced cleaned the area, just spray on some strong S/H and walk away no scrubbing. Not only will it smell clean and dissinfected but S/H will kill most any organic stains in the concrete.

The same when you clean sidewalks in a subdivision that has acorn stains and sap stains, it works well for that also..No i dont have a gum buster machine, but i think that would be a good investment if we had gum as bad as John is dealing with every night.

Here's a couple of pictures of nasty sidewalks in the big apple

Hey John, funny thing is i lived in N.Y. my whole life, first in the Bronx then out in Port Jefferson L.I., i never even knew what pressure cleaning was until i moved down here to F.L.

I am curious did you find it hard when you first started out, or was it a cake walk due to the fact that there is very little good competition up there? Where did you market your business, Newsday, pennysaver, or did you go with the Yellow pages. I would think by now you do well on your reputation and web site?

I come up at least 3 times a year to visit and i am just now starting to notice some decent rigs out there powerwashing at night. My sister had her 2200 sq ft house washed for $600.00 and it was vinyl siding, she thought that was a great deal. Down here you are lucky to get $200.00 for that same size house.

I was on my way down to Port Jefferson last time i was up there, and there was a guy during the day with one of them gum buster steam machines tapping gum as he walked down the sidewalks. They dont even pressure clean the walks, he was just hitting the gum?

I guess i will meet up with you at the M/B R/T, it will be nice to meet up with alot of the guys and gals here on this board, we did the R/T here in F.L. and it was a good time.:D
