This is why I bought a TUNDRA!

Ask toyota why they gave the National Audobon Society 22 million dollars and they promptly used the money to sue the National park service and close Cape Hatteras National Seashore in NC for 11 pairs of piping plover birds.

I have had 8 Toyota cars/trucks over the years. Personally if I was to buy a new 1/2 ton truck today I would go with the 2010 F-150 though.

Believe it or not I had a 2000 Toyota Corolla I got 190,000 miles out of the original front brake pads. Keep it mind though that it was a 5 Speed and I was doing a 110 mile commute each way to work in non rush hour traffic most of the time.

Not saying anything is wrong with Toyota, they are good. My 91 Chevy truck had 287,000 miles on it, Same Motor and tranny when I sold it. I did put brakes and stuff on it, but it was pulling Heavy Farm Equipment. I did put parts on it but it was one hell of a truck. My 97 F-150 that I still have is now 13 years old and the only thing I have put on it is an 02 sensor for smog and that cost 36 dollars and brakes but then again I tow with it.

But I think it is all in how you maintain them that helps get years of good use from them.

Watch the Durability Video in the middle of this page and watch the frame in Action :D

Watch the last test on this Video.

I've fixed every problem in those videos with adding rear air bags to my truck. I would recommend air bags to anyone towing. It's been a great investment.

It makes me laugh that the ford can coast an extra few yards on a gallon of gas then the Tundra, the thing they failed to mention is the lack of power the ford has comparing to the Tundra.

The new fords are nice but I think for using it for what we do the Tundra will outperform by far. More Power, Bigger Brakes, Better Transmission, 1/2 Ton Ring Gear to handle my Dumpster Pulling. :nhl_checking: Not to mention I will use and abuse and still sell it for a pretty penny.

Tried their HD Tacoma, I hooked the beast up to it and it puked, that was with an empty tank? Went to Ford and bought a Superduty.

I did not do much research into the toyotas, but they were not up to the initial primary reason I bought my superdutys, snowplowing with the heavy plows we use, the 5.4L 04's I have need a little more power.

Tacomas with the towing package only tow 6700 lbs. I use to have an 07 it was nice but wouldn't tow a big trailer.

Maybe it was the Tundra, whichever was the bigger truck?

It must have been older then 2007. You wouldn't of had a power or towing problem with the 5.7L V8 it's over 400 torque with a low first gear.

Cool video. I like the Tundra's. Of course mine still rides smoother...Hahaha!

I can agree with you on that. The interior is much nicer too. I wish the tundra had the new gmc interior. It's really stout!!

I have two toyota tacoma's I love them, and my guys love them. I also have 3 superduties, and they have been amazing. One of them is new to me, in fact, it has not hit the road yet, but the other two, are excellent and have been amazingly reliable. As soon as I get the new truck put together, I will post pictures of it.
