I got the pressure pro machine with 3000@5GPM it says use a #6 nozzle .. Only thing is the calc .. say it will give me 2778 psi.... Could I use a 5.5 nozzle and get closer to 3000.. or is that to small a nozzle.. Oh I got ot show yall my new machine.. Everyone here gave me a great price, but in the end my bank guy made me purchase from the local guy .. Ended up costing me 350.00 more .. What a bunch of <><><>< anyway I guess I am happy until I have to start making the payments ( Now my whole business is financed right down to the tires on my truck ) :thud::speechless:

My machine is 5.6gpm at 3500 psi. I run a #5.5 tip. I've been told to run the #6 tip also but with the 5.5 tip there is no water or very little going to the bypass valve. I ran the #6 tip for awhile and really can't tell a difference on my machine.

Why the need to finance everything? As long as you have been in business, and not expanding your business, I would think that you would have some cash stashed to be able to make those type of purchases. I know everyone has a different business model, but that does not seem like a model that will predispose someone to prosperity.

Scott ... Oh let me explain ((( You asked for it ))) We were floating along until my wife got sick .. I wasn't going to say anything but she had a type of cyst ( cancer ) and the hospitol visits even with blue cross have eaten us alive.. My wife is doing alot better now and we have still got to test that she has to have run all the time... The reason for financing the machine was somewhat associated to that but also the old machine played out at christmas as well.... But your right I should save money and I have been sort of lazy since my wife was in the hospitol... I hope to have the machine paid for in the next 5 months are so .. we actually budgeted the machine in our ( budget list for 4 months.. ) + the intrest rate I got was great.. Oh yeah Chris it says 3000 @ 5gpm It is a TS 2021 pump ... I woke up the neighborhood playing with it yesterday morning .. I was actually suprised at how much more water the 5 gpm is over the 4 gpm that I have been using for 6 years. I got to clean Steam Room this morning so will see how it works .. I will get some photos.. ( So I guess I will buy some 5.5 nozzles ) ( Megs)

Ok this was a special purchase machine .. It says 3000 on the machine , It has an 18hp Vanguard with a 2021B pump and a 2400 watt generator for the 110volt burner... I was told it was 3000 @ 5 .. My owners manual is just the basic pressure pro manual..The nozzles that came with the machine are 0065, 15065,25065,40065 and a soap nozzle.. I would like to get some more but 6.5 sounds a little big for a 3000 @ 5 The machine is a 6115-pro 30vg

With the 18hp engine and a generator, I would bet it is 3000psi and only 5gpm because it will use some hp to run the generator so they probably changed the pulleys to compensate for the generator. You will need different nozzles, the 6.5 are for the 3000psi and 5.5gpm like what I use.

If the machine does not say (special order and all), go by or call the shop and talk to them about it, that should have been discussed before you left the shop with the unit.

Take those nozzles back and get the right ones while you are at it.

John, sometimes different manufacturers will send the same manual becuase the different products are similair.
(Im talking about different items in general, not p.w.'ers)

A 6.5 is too large for a 5gpm machine. If you run a #6 nozzle, then you should yield right under 3000 psi. If you go with anything smaller, then your well over the 3000 psi mark. I'd switch to 36 nozzles and be done with it.

so the manu sent the wrong nozzles

It appears that way. Or they send larger ones just for precaution. They have their reason.
You could always contact them if you wish.

Thats good Jon. I knew I wasnt crazy.:D

So are you going with the #6 or #5.5?
I was told that depending what the nozzle will yield, go can go a little smaller in some cases and it wouldnt hurt. Becuase the pump will only put out so much.
My old pump was a 3800 psi 4gpm that came with 4.5 nozzles. (3200 psi)
I switched to a #4 (4000 psi) and never had any problems.

Good luck.

I would guess you can get 3000 out of the #6 (5.2 gpm) because there is usually a little extra water if you adjust your unloader with the bigger nozzle in, use that for flat work - I ran my 16 hp at 5.2/3000.

I got new nozzles (5.5 ) Well they put a guage on it .. and at the end of the 200 foot run of pressure hose I am getting 2850 psi .. we did not check the gpm but it feels alot better.. and Gary agreed that yep it had the wrong nozzles.... I also put my old homemade surface cleaner back together with 2 --- 15030 nozzles on it .. and all I have left to do is get about a 6 foot whip hose and a high pressure valve.. I don't normally do concrete .. but I may have to do a few restaurant sidewalks to make the extra money.. I guess it never hurts to have the equipment...
