temp control

I have recently switched over to a 2 burner setup. I have 2 burners setup in series. I had anticipated problems. Unprecedentedly it worked much better than one large burner. Before the temp would very greatly. Now instead of getting up to the steam level and then cooling down greatly the temp seems to stay much closer to the optimum level. This optimum temp works much much better over all, and exceptionally well at degreasing equipment. What is the best thermostat to keep the temp just where you want it?

Really, I think they're pretty much all the same. If you want to regulate the maximum temperature, use the fuel nozzle and pressure to give you peak heat without the thermostat kicking out.

Thanks Russ that's what i was wondering, if there was a difference between say the $60 GP thermostat and the $35 one with the big nob that reads up to 302 deg. I just assumed that maybe there was a thermostat out there that regulated the temp a little tighter than the rest. say you set the dial at 180 deg, instead of the thermostat letting the temp drop to 160 deg before kicking the burner back on it would only let it get to 170 deg before kicking back on.

My friend had one rigged up it wasnt really made for a burner its digital and he always brags about how little is burner cycles. It does a good job but he said it was over 120 bucks it was something he found on ebay.
