the site should move faster after morning
Because the site has been getting busier and busier and now is getting more and more hits we needed to change the service. I know have it on its own server with a couple other sites I own. Since I founded the site in case anyone is wondering it was my agreement with Mike to handle the expenses of the site and I want to see the site someday be in the number one slot.
The site ranks number two on the web… which in its sort existence is a huge accomplishment of many good people who post and help assist in making the site so good.
I realized that speed is a large factor to this success, I didn’t realize that we would grow out so fast. We now only have a few sites occupying the space with us. I own a couple other BBS and they do not require the space this site does. Thankfully….
I hope the site stays on top and will support it anyway I can…..

just for teh record mondays are the heaviest traffic and 12:00 to 4:00pm are the busiest also.

it does seem faster to me...i used to put it down(slow) to the traffic.
if anyone still has a modem dowload(like me) and find some sites take awhile to load..this tip will load the text first and the graphics after.....you will notice the difference when you are surfing rather than on the bbs's....even someone with a mega dl speeds will get something out of this if the traffic is heavy
goto the top of this page.
click on tools\internet options\advanced....scroll down to where it says......
show image download placeholders.....and put a tick in the box click on apply.
this is win win for everyone

It definitely is faster now on my computer. I actually thought that maybe I had to much disc space or whatever being used up causing this site to go soooo sloooooowwww. Now there is a big difference.
Its going to be after this weekend until it really picks up speed.. still installing [parts of the server. the server is not running as fast as it should yet. about 25% right now
we are at 65% rigt now, the other fourty will take a little time for the installation of the dish. after the new dish it will zoooooooooommmm...

his price is dynamite... 2. some gigs its larger than a T-1.... for 1/3 the money. keep in mind that its not proven yet. I'm going to be test driving it. the company charged me no install.
I now have two servers, teh one that PWI was on was about 80 percent full. now its not even 3%, the other houses some other BBS and some hobby sites i own.
I'm currently working on a pay BBS for PW.

From this end with broadband this site seems to be slower than it used to be and even a bit slower than some other boards I frequent. Have you spoken to your new provider?
