Telescoping Extension Wands

Does anyone know of any good telescoping extension wands that will go 24'? I'm looking for something that is reasonably priced and won't blow me over when I use it. Keep in mind I'm 6'0 and only 135 lbs.

I had one from General Pump before and I didn't care for it too much.

found it better then the yellow one, but its probably double the price of the yellow one as well.

They all throw you around a little and wear you out quick, the more PSI/GPM you are running the harder they are on you.

I don't think they are a waste at all. I placed mine up against the wall in my shop about 9 yrs ago and it has been holding up the wall ever since. The wall hasn't budged an inch.
 
I gotta agree w Larry, mine has been up in the rafters of my barn for about 10 years. My cats use it for walking across the rafters, gives them a little break from having to jump across them. Pretty sure they'd get pretty ticked if I decided to take it out and use it one day...
 
When I bought one -- my first, and last -- I asked the guy @ store to please install a tip with a more-defined angle, so it would shoot perpendicularly, not just up with a bit of an angle. He said, "Well, Sir, I'm not sure you want to do that."

What the Hell does he know? Go ahead and do it, I said. I know what I need better than he.

Needless to say, even the stupid belt-thingy would not have helped. The next day I felt like I had been on a strectching torture device all day.
 
I think most all of us are guilty of having a telescoping wand at one time. I have one laying on the ground by my shop that hasn't moved since it was thrown there 10 years ago before that it hung on the wall of my box truck for 5 years before that in my trailer for 5 years been used twice. Vince if you have to get one get one with pin locks and hexagon shaped they are a little sturdier than the round ones fiberglass ones.

Wow, you got me beat at 6'0" 142 lbs! Didn't think that was possible.

We use it to reach across 15 ft wide coils on occasion.

I use mine at least once every 4 to 6 months on those higher areas that will not chemically clean and need a little bit of pressure.

I agree about the pin lock type, I would buy that kind if/when I need another extension pole because the twist lock type get dirt in the threads and are hard to open/close often.

Not sure who sells the pin lock type, just have to check around.

Don't use your regular pressure nozzle, it will be too much pressure and can bend the aluminum section at the end, always use a larger nozzle for less pressure as the higher up areas hardly ever need that much pressure to clean.

These poles are great for cleaning small areas where you need a lift but the job does not justify that expense, just charge accordingly for the pita factor of using the pole.

We have a lot of brick buildings that have dirt in the grout lines but the house wash does not clean them (can't bleach dirt), you just have to use some pressure to clean them so for the higher areas on these type of cleaning jobs, the poles help a lot.
