Take a guess

Well Just as I got all the leaks stopped everywhere the dang Legacy hose started leaking at the swivel again.. This makes #3 .. Dang .. I give up..

You have the worst luck with your equipment, maybe you should give it a break sometime.:p

Well now I am Pissed .. Dang Legacy Hose... I went today and had a reusable end put on my hose .. It stayed on about 3 minutes before it blew off.. So I decided well Just use the 100 foot peice and guess what that hose leaks at the crimp. I am running 2800 psi at 4gpm and about 200 degrees.. Why cant I get a hose that won't leak.. I guess I will put the reusable end back on tommorrow and cut my pressure down to about 2500. Because I have 2 more jobs this weekend..No More Legacy Hose for me...

What am I doing wrong With the reusable hose repair end ?? It wont stay on for nothing.. I have 2 - 100ft non marking hoses that aint worth a _____ .. So Now what .. I really hate that I cant buy any new hose this weekend... Also everyone I talk to says """"" you wont get any hose that wont leak at 3000 psi and 210 degrees """" YEAH RIGHT ???

From what I understand, you have to have the right end for the number of braids in your hose. If you are trying to use a two wire braid end on a single wire braid hose, that could be your problem. Personally, I prefer to just go to Napa and get a new end crimped on.

I am going to try napa next.. Its the right repair end , I have two wire hose , rated 5400 psi.. I found the problem to be that my hose is slick blue rubber.. When I put the repair end on it rips the rubber coat right off the hose before the unloader even kicks in... I have some single wire black that I can use this weekend and then I will be asking legacy for a full refund beause there hose sux... Thats just the reality.. And everyone at the hydraulic places in Jackson are putting junk fittings on my hose that dont even last .. This is just rediculous... Maybe I will just have to live with black hose for a while..

Well I drove all the way to Lakeland Drive , Job was canceled seems the Manager forgot I was coming..I rescheduled for Sat night.. However I do have a Job tonight.. So lets see.. I found a couple more problems.. My hose is leaking at the swivel end ( New Legacy Hose ) this is driving me crazy This is my 2nd brand new hose in 3 weeks.with the leaking swivel end.. I am going to take the unloader off and clean it out good.. I may even put my old unloader back on just to see what happens.. I am also thinking about buying a Ramteq machine from a local pressure washing store in Florence, Its a used machine but it seems to run very well.. I think it is 3000@5 and has like a 16 hp or 18 HP motor on it .. Couldn't tell the brand of motor there were no labels on it.. I didn't bother to ask ... The Guy is asking 2500.00 for it .. Anyway will see what happens.. As for the rubber O ring seal under the valves in the pump head on my whitco I checked and they all seem to be in good shape.. I did notice the oil in the pump is a little liquefied , Not full of water but its real runny ( it drips off the dipstick before you can read he measurement on the stick... I am going to change that today as well.. Think I may just bend over and buy another overpriced General Pump..

overprices general pump?? i had many pumps and general seems to be the best bang for the buck out there

Well it all works , I finally got the hose leak fixed, got the swivel put on , Took the pretty nickel plated head off the pump and put the brass one back on ( Freshly Rebuilt ) Put 3 brand new pistons, Drained the pump crank case and refilled with 30W oil. ( No Water leaks at all ) Set the unloader at 2900 psi , it spikes at a cool 3200 psi..( Bought an array of new nozzles all o4's ( 5 degree, 10 degree, 15 degree ) All of this slowed me down last week , I was only able to do 5 jobs, Thanks for the input guys...

John, There are two different size reuseable ends. One for 1 wire and one for 2 wire. If you put the 2 wire end on the 1 wire hose it will blow off. The 1 wire end wont go on a 2 wire hose. I get my hose ends replaced at CarQuest. They have a hydrolic hose machine they let me use. I just walk in, fix the hoses, take the package to the counter, pay, and Im done.
100R1 fitting is for single wire hose
100R2 fitting is for double wire hose
