sutner flow switch not working

Anyone know how to wire up a flow switch to a 110 volt burner? I wired one wire from flow switch to the on off switch and the other flow switch wire to the hot igniter wire. Burner works fine but doesnt turn off when I release the trigger. I take that back. It worked for about ten minutes but then only sometimes, then never.

The ignitor and / or the blower motor draw too many amps for the reed switch in a flow switch. What probably happened was the switch welded itself closed with the draw through it, then burned out. Only wire a flow or pressure switch to the solenoid, or use a relay to control the whole burner.

hmm, not too sure where the fuel solenoid wire is. I guess this means my flow switch is toast? Thanks guys!

Chase the wires inside your Fan housing and look at the 2 wires that go out of the fan box. That wire is the same wire your breaking contact with a temp. gauge or the old flow/pressure switch with as well. Power comes in one side and out the other side and you will have a ground wire on that flow switch too (usually green or green striped)
