stucco cleaning

I got a job today and the home is stucco. This will be the first time cleaning a stucco home and I want to know what should I be doing or looking for with this kind of surface.

Use good chemicals and not alot of pressure. Stucco is fragile and will damage with alot of pressure. It will clean pretty easy with good chemicals. I hope this helps

I cannot offer help as I don't do stucco homes. Now if it was concrete

Mark, is it stucco or synthetic stucco/E.I.F.S/Dryvit? The way you can tell is if it sounds hollow (it is!) when you tap on it.

John, I tapped on the house when I was giving the estimate and the sound was hollow alright. Now that we know what it is can you tell me the best way to clean it? I went to your site and the house looked just like the first big home that you had in the pictures. Nice job, by the way.

Go to www.dryvit.com they have some suggestions there.

We did a dryvit home last year, and used a mixture of bleach, TSP, and Liquid Cascade. Also, you must dramatically drop your PSI's............to under 1000 I believe they recommend 600.

Pressure will just chew that stuff up. Good luck.
