Striping?

That's really sucks, Sorry to hear that. I was excited when I was reading the thread that you were going to build the unit. Happy to hear you got things up and running with the Honda.

Actually still have a predator 10 gpm machine as a spare. Just don't trust it as my main machine. Honda rules.

I went through two HF 22 hp engines. I got a Subaru 28 hp engine and blew that up. Using a Honda GX690 now, like I should have in the first place.
Dang Ralph 3 engines. I know the Subaru doesn't like heat. I've been hedging the HF 22hp. Wondering if a water cooled Kawasaki would be a great florida engine. Maybe the 27hp

Nothing but Honda for me. I tried a Predator for a bit myself just to test one out last year that was a terrible experience. You couldn't give me another Predator engine.

Haven't read every response here but here is my two cents; change out your nozzles to 25025 for two reasons 1) pressure is to high for residential 2) 25 degree spray pattern will work better. Also try working in smaller sections using a circular pattern instead of working in straight lines. and lastly unless you have hot water, PRE-TREAT!

Rance thank you for the reply. I did change the nozzles out as you guys have suggested. I did my driveway because HOA saus i had to lol. I did use a pre treat but i stil had the same effect just not nearly as bad. I was able to see it because i was looking really hard at it.

Everyone told me to go with the Honda. Didn't listen. Cost me about $2700 . The only problem with Honda is you are limited to about 23 Hp. My next rig is 2 8 gpm 3500 psi machines that I will tie together. With a custom surface cleaner I am looking to have made.

I pre-treat every drive or walk and allow 10 to 15 minute dwell time. Even if your able to drive off all the mold and algae with just plain water and if you do, You've most likely used too much PSI. Pre-treating is the key here. The mold and algae need to be killed otherwise, It will grow back.

Pre-treating is absolutely critical when cleaning paver type walks and patios.
