Street sweeping

It works for all around sweeping, you can get the heavy dirt jobs with it and make good money. It works much better then the small ones and will Last Much Longer to say the least, it is built to hold up. The company I helped start before I went into business still has the first ones they bought and they work great and that is from around 1992 I guess.

Thanks for that info guys, I know I can always count on you to get an honest answer.

They want the centers swept twice a week along with minor tree and bush trimming and pressure washing once a week. The manager flat out told me the price to beat and basically said the job is yours.

We are looking at a few different models for under 20k. Whats the major cleaning difference between a slide in unit and a truck thats a dedicated sweeper? Im trying to avoid a costly mistake. Thanks again.

Did he tell you the name of the former company?

Terry it was great talking to you and thanks for all of your help. Your a stand up guy and I hope to meet you soon.

I've got a good friend that owns a sweeping company. He's had as many as 3 sweeper trucks on the road, but has now switched to pull behind units. He pulls them behind small trucks, (s10s, rangers). He says his fuel bills have dropped considerably and that the pull behinds leave his shopping centers cleaner. This is due to the fact that the pull behind doesn't have a vaccum, but rather a motorized broom that sweeps everything into the hopper. He says its great for sandy conditions. His most recent pull behind, he designed and built his self. It even has curb brooms on both sides. Only downfall is his guys must unload the hopper. There is no dump.
