streatched out

Hello Russ,

This might be a good time to interject with the fact that these types of properties have sweeper trucks that come in as much as 7 nights a week to deal with anything that is left on the parking lot. Most local accounts can easily be scheduled so that the sweeper can compliment our service and even though nothing is going off property, the property itself remains squeaky clean.

This is what happens when businesses are left alone to do their work and are only bothered when they are really doing something harmful to the environment.

Russ, how many minutes would it take you to decide to retire if Jim Gamble and Robert get their way and you have to vacuum all this up, filter it and find a sewer cleanout to put it in, for no reason whatsoever except to sell vacuum and filter equipment?

Whoa, there's a loaded question...

Tony a min is entirely too long, I can get that answer in 2 notes (old name that Tune show)

We coordinate with the Property manager and she has the sweeper/vac trucks there right behind us plus there are ZERO chems used in cleaning these properties and NOTHING leaves the property either.

It's a beautiful thing isn't it Russ.

Sorry, didn't mean to be a loaded question. I read a bunch of posts hear about the EPA challenges in some states. I haven't done any commercial, knowing you travel I should have a better question. Sticking with Residential for a while, nice set up you have.

Jon , look for the next wash water control sponsored by the UAMcc. Here you will get the facts and the right answers.

We are the only group that Brings actual authorities and regulators. Past org only have manufactures that sell equipment, much miss information.

That property looks familiar...How is it going Big Guy.

Funny thing Nick, I gave those up this year!

Just tired of running I guess, I am home everyday and love it, we are very fortunate to be able to stay home and not travel and stay busier than ever before, I did learn a lot and owe you a lot for all that we learned over the last 5 years on the road. It will wear on you after a while wont it buddy?

No doubt and I'm with you on staying local. I don't leave the state anymore and I couldn't be happier myself. Are u still loving your V10 as much as I am ?

Do you find the gooseneck that much better to tow and work off of or was it just for weight.

I do love it! Everyone has something to say about the gas mileage but I dont worry about it as long as I can afford to drive it. If I cant affored the gas then I have bigger problems than just that! Until then I will just drive it, mine has 12.50 37 18 Nittos on it now as well. Makes me love it even more.

I watched the video, thanks for the reference. I currently wash residential using chemicals, so I was thinking that washing a shopping center cement using chemicals, then It occurred that isn't needed so there is no discharge of anything harmful.

I am interested in getting rid of my day job, expanding and want to look into working night to build to the point of transition Thus is why this post caught my eye, however the question was loaded and placed in the wrong thread. What I need to know, or want to know I would be better talking to someone who knows about Alabama. I sure don't want to be shut down when I am just trying to get started. PT State answered a lot of my questions, and I have read a bunch hear which of course gets me to that stage of questions to get the right information. Right now my problem is knowing what to ask, who to talk to without stepping on toes so I know how to go. Until then I will keep reading until I know who to talk to who knows.

Oh sorry I don't want to hijack the thread. I wanted to clarify though I wasn't trying to set anyone up, or start anything with the loaded question, sorry.
Thanks
Jon.

Jon, that is precisely why we are working in the UAMCC to get contractors in each state who are willing to research their own local laws to find out where they stand. The goal is to keep our surfaces clean while following the law, and being environmentally responsible, and working to educate the local enforcement on what we are actually dealing with rather than having them just simply assume that we are harming the environment by cleaning it.

We have to work in each individual area as needed, and, when requested, try to protect the families of the contractors in our industry when common sense goes out the window.

I apologize for not knowing, but I personally do not know who is the "go to" person in your area yet.

This is going to take time. If you can help in any way it would be appreciated.

At the moment, no off property discharge appears to be a defense in most jurisdictions. There are a few rare exceptions.

The fact is, as we have discussed before, the EPA has no jurisdiction on property. In some areas they are trying to test that defense. Evaporation on property and dry cleanup afterwards seems to be a sensible, workable solution and has worked wonderfully in most commercial instances, especially since sweeper trucks come by and vacuum after our cleanings. Likewise, basic gravity filtration seems to be adequate to protect the environment in most instances.

But occasionally we come across some instances where logic and common sense doesn't prevail.

That is why we need a large coalition across the nation to help.

Jon, we will be in Montgomery next month doing a huge center, if you would like to come down from your area and work with us and see how we do what we do your more than welcome!

Also I would be happy to help answer your questions about your area up there, we have worked in 14 different states under all types of jurisdictions, even Gwinnett Co Ga. (Thats a tough one) Let me know how I can help!

Russ I see you are running the Hydrotek units now. Are they better than the all in one silver eagle units you were running. I still have my furry unit thinking of going to one of Jerry's units. What made you change over.
