Steering Wheel Feels Off Center

Recently I started paying more attention to how my car feels on the road, especially during normal daily driving. The steering wheel no longer stays perfectly straight when I am moving forward and I have to slightly correct it all the time. At first I thought it was just the road surface, but it happens in different places. I also noticed that driving feels less stable than before, even though nothing else has changed. I am trying to understand if this could be connected to alignment or suspension setup and what signs usually point to that.

Based on what you described it really sounds like something alignment related. When wheel angles shift away from factory specs it often affects how straight the steering wheel sits. In my case the first clear sign was Uneven tire wear, which I did not connect to alignment right away. I later read more about alignment measurements and suspension checks and found clear explanations on https://www.vip-servicecenter.com/services/alignment-service . It helped me understand how camber caster and toe are measured and why checking suspension components matters before any wheel adjustment is done.

Steering related changes are often subtle at the beginning and easy to overlook. A slightly off center steering wheel or minor instability can develop gradually over time. Many drivers only start questioning it once the car no longer feels predictable on straight roads. Paying attention to these small signs and discussing them with others can help connect everyday driving sensations with technical factors like alignment or suspension geometry. Conversations like this usually help people notice issues earlier rather than later.
