I'll be there, but get on the phone and call some others that don't get on this board or the others!

Oh Yeah, can you believe it LOL. I did some calling last year, but the response wasn't real good from some I called. May be Russ will have better luck with some.

Russell was kind enough to open his shop yesterday to host a meeting. My son and I both attended unfortunately the only other person there was Reed. I'm sure it was a waste of time for both Russell and Reed but we came away with many new ideas. It was well worth my time and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Thanks Again,

Russ, thanks for having one, at least no one can say they didn’t come because it didn’t go off. Last feb you had by far the best turn out. Maybe next time around the guys that came will support the idea.

I went to NJ this year and the turn out was great. If and when we have round tables again I will stay in phoenix and host my own. I enjoy going elsewhere but the need to meet local contractors is a greater cause.

I enjoyed the time spent on Saturday with the 15 or so guys there. I got to look at a box truck of Everett’s that he was trying some before and after photo’s painted on the exterior that will work well for him.

I had many conversations with other contractors and came away a more knowledgeable person because of this meeting. I got to hear and understand the frustration and successes of my fellow contractors.

These meetings are a lot of fun, I know that even only the three of you got together some ideas and thoughts where shared.

Well next year we will do some cold calling to get more involved.

Here is the prime opportunity for all pw's in our areas to sit down and really talk about the market. We don't have to state our prices but what an opportunity to set the market. Every one of us would love to make more money, but if the ones in business aren't willing to sit down and discuss it, what can we do?

Very few of the pw people here are on the net, but we have a good share of pw's. Some legit some I am sure are not. Two other pw's and I refer business to each other. That's how it should be. Many ideas to ponder in how to get others involved. I for one with russ and bob will explore ways to get these "other" people in for a discussion.

How did others fair in their meetings?

Reed

Sorry guys - I did not know when or where until it was too late. I really enjoyed the round table last year and was looking forward to this year. I need to visit the board a lot more. I have three other contractors that were wanting to come with me.

Roundtable Meetings

Reed,

Check out the Medford Roundtable Meeting thread. It was just what you mention , a lot of sharing and new friendhips and relationships started. There was cold calling involved and I believe the next one will be even more successful. We definitely got something started here.
