Square Water Tanks??

[AZ PowerWash Pros]

So far I have only owned the round water tanks with legs on them...
Are there any disadvantages to the square tanks that are caged up and look like this: http://actioncleaning.net/html/watertanks.htm

Just wondering... Anyone with insight I would appreciate your help.

I use a square tote/tank in my enclosed trailer. I like the fact it takes up less floor space. Mind you, when it's full your center of gravity is not the same as the leg style tank.

They're cheap, like $50 bucks cheap. But they can not be strapped down near as well as an elliptical tank, and the slosh is worse. So not as safe.

I noticed they were cheap... That's why I was interested in knowing a little more about them.

They are just chemical tanks.I picked mine up at at a local car wash for free.I didn't like the way it looked on my open trailer so its sitting in my yard and I ended up getting an elliptical tank.Also you really cant put your logo on it.

Run a piece of 1" angle steel thru the tine slots on the base and bolt it to the floor of your trailer

Take a yard sign and zip tie it to the sides of the cage.

I use "U" bolts over the tubing and through the floor with fender washers and lock nuts underneath.

To keep mine from sliding, I bolted down a 2x6 in the front and back of it to keep it "locked" in place. Of course it's also strapped down. Works slick!

I don't like them, because I just don't think that they look good. I do have square tanks on one of my trailers, but they are not used chemical totes, they were actually molded tanks, just like the elliptical ones. Since I have had multiple tanks that have developped a crack in the heavier variety, I don't trust the thinner wall versions.

They fit better and take up less space and they're cheap, I think they look good and/or good flat space for a sign. I think the thinner/softer plastic is less likely to get a crack - whatever floats your boat.

In a box truck you can fit two of them up front of the box good space saver.

If "they don't look good" is the only complaint from pressure washers on this board then I don't think I'm ever buying the other tanks again. I can pick up two of these tanks for half the price of one rounded tank. I really could care less what they look like as long as they work well and won't end up costing me more money down the road...

That's how I used to attach them however the bottom side will rust and break. You will have to replace them often in my experience and I don't trust them even when using 8 u bolts to secure it down because the bottom pallet portion is only bolted on

Your choice. I am in the image and appearance business, which is why my trucks are clean and newer, and my equipment looks good.
You seemed to miss the part where they are thin and likely to break. Usually that happens at the least opportune time.

Lot of people use them, if it breaks buy another one they don't cost much
