SONIC tip pressure washing sales

Here in Tucson they care more about saving a few bucks than what the stores look like. They haven't had pw'ing in a while (according to one GM), and the DM won't let them spend the money.

I spoke to several GM's here, and they were very interested. Said it was up to the district manager. I spoke to him, and he said it's not in their budget, and they can all clean their own for now. Well, it shows. They look terrible. I actually had one customer mention I should approach Sonic, and said he wouldn't eat there becuase of how greasy the concrete is.

I pulled into the local sonic 3 days ago and the manager was out in the parking lot with a water broom attached to their own pressure washer rinsing the parking lot down.In the middle of the day.

I think that some of these places do what they have to to get away with saying they are cleaning the exteriors of their buildings.

We clean 20 Sonics here and most of them clean them in between our cleanings. During the warmer months we do them twice monthly.

This group here has 42 or 43 locations. They have been trying to get us to clean all of them but the ones we don't clean are a little farther than I want to travel and they don't want to pay my price. I quoted them $40 more per location (over our local store prices) and they went with their hood guy who quoted $100 less than me. Owners have their doubts about him after a couple cleanings and have called me twice about doing them for the same price as the local stores (farthest is 90 miles from me, but most are within 50 miles). The other store are all over 120 miles and several are over 200. I ain't going that far for the same money! LOL Have thought about subbing it out to someone but am cautious and too particular in our work to be able to rest wondering if the job was being done right.

We had 8 of those locations at the higher price for about 2 years and then someone came in and bid half what I was doing them for and they took it. These store were FILTHY when we started! When I say filthy, I mean (and am not stretching it at all) 250-300 pieces of gum on EACH parking space!! The new guy is not keeping the gum up and its building up again now. When they called, I reminded him that when he dropped us I told him then "No one can do the job we do for a cheaper price" and he said he wished he would have listened. In the time since we lost those stores, I have had 2 more children and like to be home more to spend time with them.
