I am sure I was not the lowest price at $450.00 for just the Roof. I did the two houses right next to him and that's why he called me. That ad gets my phone ringing and I up sell everything, I have been in that Newsletter for 10yrs. Did u think that putting that up I was going to apologize that u didn't get the job? I am tired of walking away from jobs from every idiot with a P/W, If $450.00 for 2hr work is Lowballing than I will gladly take Larry's Title. And if you read it closely it say's I will beat any Reasonable Estimate.

Here is the truth Nick...I had him at just under $700...yes $700 2 years ago...he decided to wait until last month. He finally wanted to do the work..He was again given the price the price from 2 years ago as he is in my neighborhood and has seen MANY other jobs I have performed and talked with other residents here in my own community. At the last second he wants to negotiate after all of this time. I have credibility Nick, and do not drop my panties just to get a job Nick as we are PLENTY busy. He obviously went searching and once again you got the job based only on price , not because you were sought after. Make no mistake on that. Oh and the other neighbor a few doors down from him, the same exact deal.
I highly doubt that was done in 2 hours Nick, but if it was you left plenty of money on the table and you now know it.
And as far as ME being an idiot with a pressure washer, guess again....
I get paid for what I do and value my life and my service...something you have never gotten the sense of since I first heard about you. You are the one that is setting the prices so low and then complaining about low prices and lowballers! Look in the mirror!!!!
Trust me ...there are many other stories...

First of all I did not call u an Idiot? I meant all the fly by nights in the area. I pulled up at his house 12noon and left right after 2pm in my book that's is 2 hr's. The guy 2 doors down has the exact house and that also took 2hrs. If I tried to get $700.00 up in NPR for this size roof they would hang up on me. If you had him at $700.00 then u would have gotten the job.

When he called me he told me that the neighbor recommended me, so WTF are u talking about. I will be back there to Paint Prep his house and do his Drive & Walk, so that will bring me up to around $800.00 for the whole job. I don't feel I need to explain myself to you or anyone else, If u lost the job that is your problem so pick up your skirt and carry on. I don't give a flying shit about anyone and their stories, most of the local guy's either worked for me or subbed for me one time or another, and I could care less what they said.

And by the way I did the whole Roof with 60 gal of mix, so tell me how long should that take you to do?

I honestly don't know where you get that I think youve been planning something??? Maybe re-read my posts again.
He basically flaked out at the last minute as he is painting his home inside and out, new carpeting etc and told me he needed to cut corners as he was running over budget. He was at $1000 for the roof and the paint prep...(without a drive and walk cleaning)..he wanted to get me to come down to 900 so he didnt have to get another estimate and save some $ . I told him, sorry I cannot and will not lower my price now after this was a price given to him again after almost 2 years!
This when he found you thru a neighbor of his.
I know we will be bidding on similar jobs Nick, but don't figure people in NPR , especially my 'hood doesn't pay what everyone else pays .
You came in at $.142 cents a square on that roof......way to low.

Being a 2 story house, the actual roof area comes in at 2978 sq ft. If you do the math I charged just over .15 a sq ft I will take that all day long.

I know we joke about Larry but we have bid against each other many times. There are times when I will send a contact to Larry and he will tell me they just called him to. We try to stay close enough on price so that were not giving it away.
