Smoke/ soot removal

Has anyone used TSP Tri-sodium phosphate and water to remove smoke/ soot from roof tiles? Has is worked? will in damage anything in anyway? If not what do you use? I read in another post that butyl will remove soot.

Gutter Shock will remove it. I have used it for fire damage on brick.

What is the work required in it? ex. scrubbing with wire brush, water or dry, etc

Spray it on and let dwell about 10 minutes and spray off with pressure washer. It has butyl in it.
