Small Account (4 Medium Sized Tucks)

I have a local ice company asking about me washing their 4 trucks. They are medium sized type delivery trucks,..fairly new and I think they are simply white with lettering. Now,..I don't usually even consider doing truck washes, but this is the place I had my first regular job, starting back in the late 80's. So with that in mind I told them I would consider it, as long as the particulars worked out,..(Price, time I can do them, etc..)

They just want them basically washed on a weekly or semi weekly basis, I like the idea of two stepping, for maintenance cleaning is this necessary or once I get them started I could go to a basic wash. I realize it depends on how dirty they are,.but generally speaking they'd be like any other delivery trucks you see on a day to day basis. Just looking for a starting point of ideas.
I've been reading about acid/alkali combo,...I have a HF/Sulfuric blend I use here and there for house washing,...but what is a good alkali soap I can use for the second step? Something I could by local if possible. I thought alkali and caustic were the same, but in my reading I seen where someone mentions using an alkali over a caustic? Would appreciate the clarification.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff, alkali is simply high ph. Many times, alkalinity is increased through the use of caustic, sodium or potassium hydroxide. If you want to buy locally, go to your pressure washer distributor and get a good high ph truck wash soap. .

Thanks Russ, yea, there is local distributor here for CPW,...I buy my HF/Sulfuric blend from him,...Doesn't always have alot of stuff on hand in his little shop,..but I will see if he can get me something. Thanks for clearing up the alkali and caustic question,..I get it now.
