A 2003 Ford F 450 Diesle for 6500 ?
Wow, that was a deal:)

Mine is an 04 and its on the 2nd transmission. Other than that I haven't had any problems out of it. I'm on 55,000 now and still under the 100,000 mile warranty, I will get rid of it around 85,000 miles. The only gripe I have is the fuel mileage, it sucks.... 153.46 yesterday to fill it up. I am considering a 5" exhaust and an intake. Oh well

Nate does need a new truck, an F150 wasnt meant to pull our trailer. Its 20' total length, 2 machines, 300 gal water, 25 gal detergent, huge ladder rack and about 10 5 gallon pails...its a heavy trailer. We have been looking for a new truck, but we think we are just going to pick up a Ford Diesel at auction, just to haul the trailer.

Thats prob what your looking at was worth before he did all the fixin. I haven't looked at anyting that big but 8k w/ 200k mi on a known prob engine...Hmmm:confused:

Well Chris,

It looks like you took the plunge and went ahead and bought the F-450. I just saw the pics and it looks to be quite the truck.

I wish you all the best and hope that the 6.0L engine does you right. I just got rid of a 2001 Ford f-350 Crew Cab 4x4 Lariat w/7.3L Turbo Diesel and Auto Trans. That was a $43,900.00 truck when it was new. It had just 95,000mi. on it when I let it go. Always treated me well other than a tranny at 65k but Nice otherwise. Oh well.

For me, I got Back about 1/2 my money from it when I sold it. Went and bought a 1995 Ford 1 ton 7.3L Diesel Cargo Van and a 1995 350 SB Chevy 1 Ton Cargo Van and a 2001 Ford F150 Supercab Flareside Lariat 5.4 Triton 4x4. All good rigs and the co. owns them. Plus, it STILL left me enough to build a new 20ft. tandem Mega Roof Cleaning PW trailer! All this from the sale of the (1)Dually Diesel F-350 PLUS I got out of a monthly payment too. Gotta LOVE It!

Yes, Chris that F-450 is probably going to make you more than you paid for it in UNDER the first year with the ADDED BONUS of NOT costing 40k + new.

So, I'd say for the price and what I saw in the pics, you did Real GOOD, I think!

Chris, May the new rig give you MANY MORE miles and keep the "Apple Sauce Sprayin' and the Green Rollin In"

All the best to you my friend!
