Should I buy a deckster? Your vote will decide.

I know nothing about wood either, but those of you that have them, can you clean roofs with them? Reason I ask is one of my competitors just got in the roof cleaning biz along with PW and he told me that he would be using a deckster to do them?

Yes they would work , pumps are no different flow than most 12 volts electrics.

It's only like 1.something GPM so it would take a long time but you could use it for roofs if you wanted to.

Tell us about it ? What are you using it for?

I bought it to apply brick sealer when I'm sealing a brick building and using a lift there ain't much room in the lift basket so I put 5 gal bucket of sealer and put the pump beside the bucket with a 4' draw hose and about 10' hose on the gun is all I needed worked great ,and I've got about 75' of hose that I can put on there for other things. I've applied stains to wood and oxalic acid to concrete,if you miss a spot on a roof make a small batch and use this pump.I have used it for everything except solvents.

I got one to right after Aaron told me about it. I use it for all kinds of stuff. Carry it with me in my trailer every day. Even great for DEMO's.

Hmm this looks like a great replacement for a pump sprayer on small jobs. Sometimes i hate reeling in and out my giant 1/2 inch 200 foot ag hose sprayer on the trailer

Yep. i got mine with a 25 foot hose on it, gun and four nozzles.

I built one with a shurflo. 2.8 45 psi I got the wand setup and hose from Paul. I use it to shoot the chems. had every stain through it too, It seems to works good for me. I spent about 225 total.

Not sure what your getting Ed, but up this way I start at $3 sg foot for deck, $7 linear for railings and 20 bucks a step. I realy dont budge to much.thats everything, all inclusive.

love every minute of it

Did a house wash the other day on the cheap cheap. I got the staining job also so the whole thing from start to finish comes in at $4.100 but he buys the stain. ( still cheap ) next year the prices will go up. he going to use sikkens, aaarggggg.

went to wash a deck, the h/o said he wanted it washed so he could put a new coat down. I told im for $200 more i would strip it so he can start from scratch. he bought it. I did the same exact thing to strip as it is to wash it, except i used a different chem. thats nice

I've been using these Shur Flo pumps for chems and stains along with a custom box and wands we make. It's the only pumps I use and I sure DO use them a lot! I used to have a pressure switch problem with them burning out but we solved that problem ..custom add on. Also how can you go wrong with a 2 yr pump replacement guarantee from Harbor freight!

Been using my Deckster for a decade.
As Chris said, rebuilt once and still kicking.
You can run strippers and brighteners through it as well.

Also what Charlie said, if gunked up , just run a hot mix of hydrox thru it and your back up and running.

Or build your own, or the mgnum or the decker 5er
or a pump up or a helper with a brush it is all good, just depends on your budget I guess.

BTW what's up PWI, it's been a while.
Hope everyone had a kick ass summer.
