scraper

Hey guys a while back, we talked about those 200.00, over priced, a must need, save a stream, type magnet scraper...

But really did it end up in the back of the trailer or is it a staple of a hood cleaner could not live with out. I was going to buy one but hate to come off the cash for something that will sit and not make me money.

What about the four inch razor blades, are they easy to find?

The new cleaner times came out and they have plastic razor blades or ceramic type, Now theses look interesting for fans?

Matt

You can get the blades at your local hardware store, or giant retail home supply warehouse. I've used the scraper a couple of times, but haven't found it's a necessity on all jobs. It does work well on tuff scraping jobs. At $200 I keep in behind the seat, not in the back of the trailer;).

the magnetic scraper is problary some of the best money you can spend, we've been using them since they came out, they work awesome, even with it being pricey, well worth it.

We bought one shortly after the Ikeca fall seminar and it works very well. Is not the perfect tool for every job of course but in some situations it is fantastic. Break a lot of blades on seams and weld splatter though.

Was that a scrape only?? Looks like a little hot water and soap would have that duct cleaned up pretty well.;)

Most of our competators out here only scrape.
Once in a a blue moon they'll wash a fan.

200.00 still appears to be more than it's worth.

You are right there but imaging having to charge $120 just to get the job. This one looks like they probably charge about $150 for 2 systems. Lets see $150 job, no plastic, no chemicals, no burner fuel, $200 scraper. Hardly seems worth it for shitty work like that. The last guy I caught doing work like that got put on double secret probation, I don't consider that a pass even if it is a $150 scrape.
