I passed by a guy tonight in a flatbed Ford , He had a trailer with what looked like a 300 gallon water tank and a pressure pro machine .. No Idea who it was but He had ladders so must be another hood cleaner.. He was nice and waved and didnt try to cut me off the road.. Just wondereing how many times do you pass by the competition on a regular basis....:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:

ALL the time. Some guys are friendly and will wave or stop and say hello when your on a job site and others won't even look your way. We've actually been doing a Roof Cleaning or Pressure Washing job and had a competitor doing the house right next door or just a couple doors down. It's pretty common here in Florida.

I see mine all the time, I spoke to Travis on the phone helping him decide what kind of machine he wanted to buy and me and Richard are always together doing something. Ash and me see each other whenever I go to Birmingham and just the other day I ran into Andy Hinso in Tuscaloosa while picking up chems, had a great time talking and then spkoe for a while on the phone the same day.

Its not competition in my oponion, we are in the same business and we get along that is what makes it intresting. Just like being in the car business back in the day, I worked with a bunch of guys all as hungry as me and we had fun together seeing who was the best.

Here and there but not to much i have stoped and talked to some at a house where i knew some of the roof cleaners. One time i went to a house and the home owner had me and another contractor giving him a estimate at the same time it wasnt to bad.

I have had one of Ron's guys cleaning the inside of a restaurant, while I was outside. Does that count?
For what it is worth, I ended up getting the inside, too, because I was subbing to the janitor, and he talked them into using me. I told Ron, and he let me in on the secrets of the job. It made it much easier.

Thats a sweet deal Scott... Things would probably not happen like that in Mississippi.. But then again the funny thing is that most of the competitors in my area are guys that we all worked together at one time for a place called American Fire Protection , then we all branched out into 3 or 4 different companies.. A few years back I was cleaning a Burger King in Madison, and a friend of mine ( competitor ) was cleaning the Backyard Burgers across the street.. Now I think he does both of those stores..

NO WAY! Not the evil "I get 10% of everything" Ron?!?

You mean he didn't "threaten" you?

He didn't require "payment" to get the job?

What in the world is going on here? Is it possible that Ron is different than all those MORONIC IDIOTS who follow him around talking crap about him say he is?

You and I know how Ron is, Scott.

You live right in his backyard.

It's funny how most of the guy who say negative things about him live the farthest away and know him the least.

Its just a way for them to try to pretend that they have some success in their lives by trying to bring the truly successful down to their pathetic level.

PS. I must have got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. :(

seen one every day during the summer

Beginning of the month I see alot of other guys out. Towards the middle and end of the month though I don't see anyone.

The guys I do see out usually go flying by me at 80 on the freeways pulling a single axle trailer with a Ford Ranger. I figure they either don't know that the speed limit is 55 here when you are pulling any trailer or they have to drive that fast to go clean their Starbucks for $20 each.

When I was new to the business I got to bid on 95 Starbucks here. I bid $55 them at month to clean the front walkways and was told I was too high.

Just a week ago I was doing one of my new Taco places and next door was Michael Hinderliters Facilitec guys, They got done there and came to where I was and started there too. This week I was doing one of the Southern Multi Foods locations and across the street was another company doing a gas station. What was funny was that I was standing on the side walk watching them and their crew leader was standing on their side of the street watching us.

Usually talk to Russ or Richard about once a week or two weeks. Also if I come across something I'm not capable of I try to give it to someone else who can do it well. You can make alot more money working togeather sometimes in the right situation!!

That right me and another pressure wash company team to do a big snow removal job off the roof of a county building . we both got paid pretty will

got a call recently from a competitor to do sub work for them (the guys who are trying to take over truck washing hint hint...) dont know whether to or not. bad thing is its work we used to do :( even worse, the offer is for less money...

Lucky for me, there is very little competition in my area. I still see 1 or 2 each week though. There is only the three or four of us and I'm the only one who does softwashing, roof washing, and lawn care all off the same trailer. I think I have a pretty good niche going if I can just manage to stay ahead of the game and get my name out there. There is one guy on here that says he comes over to my county from Nashville but can't remember the name off the top of my head.

I dont know of anyone washing roofs around here. Is there a good site to learn it?

I forgot to add, I gave the guy my card because Ron pays his guys $50 for every competitors card he gets. If I cpme across his guys they sometimes get three or four cards.
