RSFAB Stencil Group Discount

Guys I'm trying to get this company to do a group discount for us.

I'm going to get a price for stainless steal he is going to email me the pricing.

If your interested in getting a stencil done this month (April) please let me know.

We will see the cost difference between stainless steal and the other material they used last time.

Tony or Chris do you remember the gauge of these? I think it was like 13 gauge thick.

Count me, you need a digital file and 250?

No problem Tony, I do not have a place to stencil yet but I am looking.

hey trevor when you use the plasma cutter. first make a template with oversized letters out of wood then fit the plasma in the letter grove to give you a better line. Im working on one that isnt too big just stuff dad had layin around. but it looks cleaner

thanks Joe,
This was my first time ever using a plasma cutter, I am lucky to have access to a complete welding shop.

The best place is on the ground Chris. Preferably a hard surface. It does not work well on the beach. :p :p

Hahahahahahaha that was a good one.

I am so tired, this townhouse job is wearing me out. hahahahaha

I will finish it today, should have bid it a little bit higher but that is ok, still good money, even for 3 days work.

I am working on the middle-man to get the condenser coil cleaning....32 units and they are all the same size condensers, I could finish them all in less than a day. They are spread out in 8 buildings with wood fences and gates and obstacles but it would be a good job and one to put on my list of references.

Like your new "Ice" picture. hahahahaha

I will have a quote on aluminum cut pieces early tommorrow, 48" x 8" The place said a rough price is $50-$100 each!

I will keep you posted, just another option for everyone, if not I can still get 48"x8" steel powder coated for $170. I think thats a heck of a back up price.

A few thoughts: We looked at aluminum, and there were a few downsides. It is too light and prone to "floating". It will absolutely bend to a point of no longer being effective. And, I believe it is actually more expensive then steel today. Although I'm sure it is much easier to fabricate, and provides greater flexibility on the stencil image.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to pay the additional cost for stainless steel. Obviously, it won't rust, so that's a huge advantage, but ours are 14 gauge steel, and down the road, rust or no rust, they're still going to work just as well. And if they are coated, they're not going to rust. Maybe I'm missing something!

I'm seeing differing prices on here, and our un-coated (actually still sent with coating of primer) is only $165.

Any questions I'm happy to answer.

Marc

I've worked in machine shops on and off most of my life. And I've talked to a couple of shop owners and they have all told me that finding someone to do these for $125.00 to $150.00 per should be no problem. They also said if they had a water jet table they would be all over this.

I agree with that. I can't picture one of these things rusting out in 20 years Marc. And you are also right about the aluminum. I didn't think of that.

tHe one I got from Marc I had powdercoated and it Does Not Rust so far at all

Do you do custom logos or just text??

We can do logos, but unfortunately at this point it would be on case by case basis. Basically, you need to show me the art work, and then we'll determine if it can done and what it would cost.

Logos are cool, and definitely a bonus. But in my experience, Company Name, Phone Number or Website are much more important. A logo does not move people to action, a phone number does.

Honestly Marc what I didn't like about your stencils is you need two of them to make sense of it.

One for your company name/website.
And an additional one for your phone number.

One without the other just doesn't make sense.

I had mine cut out of 14 Ga. steel, in a size twice as large as the ones on the PW stencils sight, zinc washed and powder-coated for $150. I'm sure I could do the same for somebody else if they wanted.

Well, I definitely see your point. Unfortunately, after giving away a bunch of stencils, and asking for feedback "good, bad, & ugly", I got nothing! That's one of the first feedback I've gotten. We obviously want a design that compliments the needs of the market, I just have to be clear on what the market is.

Thanks for your thoughts!
