The clean today site states there has been a increase in requests for roof cleanings due to the Bird Flu movie. Have any of you seen this increase?
We wish!
As one of Tampa's older roof cleaning companies, if it were true, you would think we would hear it ?
We haven't heard word one about it, from any customer, period.
We also clean roofs all the time for homeowners who bought these "do it yourself" products off the Internet.
If it was THAT easy guys, we would be out of business long ago.
My advice to all my fellow roof cleaners, just keep on keeping on, using what we use, good old Chlorine/TSP and water.
We have ARMA behind us, and these are the ONLY chemicals actually suggested to clean shingle roofs.
Not to worry about "voiding" someone's Termite warranty either.
That was an untruth spread years ago by American Roof Brite, and referred to Durasban.
Durasban is not used any longer.
Even if it was, termite protection is usually applied very close to the house, certainly not in the drip line.
I guess these people never heard of soffits ?
Termites dont like sodium hypochlorite either, kinda eats em up, and stings their "eyes" and antennae.
I have actually taken soil with chlorine in it, and watched termites.
They hate it, and leave the effected area.
I did this in my kids ant farm, and the Termites tried their best to get out of there.
Maybe us roof cleaners should charge more for our run off, LOL
