Roof Lighting

For several years we have been using camping head lights to light the way for fan cleaning. What are other guys using to give you working light on the roof. We been running into a lot of pitch black roofs lately. I was just thinking today there's got to be a brighter way to do this.

How well do they work on pitched roofs? We considered those but were concerned for pitches.
 
I've used the dual halogen but find them to be more of a pain in the a**. just more stuff to drag up to the roof.
Miner lights is what we use now.
 
I have been using the energizer 2 LED headlamp since Feb and have had no problems and have not changed the batterys yet (2 AAA's). It is at Home Depot for 11 bucks. It lights up well and is tough ( I dropped if off a 2 story roof)

Here are two different headlamps that have been recommended to us.

We only use the halogen light when needed (e.g. looking down a deep vent), but don't use it when it's not necessary...saves on battery life,etc

We get them from REI. I definitely put it through a beating and it keeps on going. Haven't tried Petzl but I may give them a shot if this one ever breaks.
