Roof Cleaning Prices, AND

Hello, 1st post here. We have in the roofing industry since 1998 and have been getting many calls from homeowner regarding roof cleaning as they dont have the funds to replace their roof and we never really got into the roof cleanng side. We are looking to add this service using a product called Roof Wash. Have the price on materials, looking for the going rate on sq.ft. I've heard anywhere from 15 -35 cents per sq ft. Would that include labor and materials. I assume it does. I understand a 2 story 10-12pitch roof would be more than a 4-2pitch ranch, just trying to find pricing as we are new to this. I figure I'll have 20-30$ in cleanser per standard 25sq roof. Also I f anyone has a better product to use to remove stains, let me know. -Thanks

Lots to learn about roof cleaning, not just the cleaners, but the technique, and equipment. If it was me starting out I would start by reading all the posts in the roof cleaning section. Others will come along with some other good advice also.

Take that great advice -- read all of the old posts. Or perhaps ask a guy on the board to help mentor you. BTW think Boardman is suburb -- kind of -- of Youngstown. North & East.

Jon call me this weekend if you want to dicuss. And welcome to PWI.

I find that bidding by the sq ft is just fooling yourself. There are other things that can raise the price. Pitch of the roof, amount of landscaping you have to cover, how dirty is it etc. That is why I look at every roof. I do not give a bid from looking at a satellite photo or street view photo.
