With residential business slowing a bit compared to years past, what are you doing to maintain prior customers? With many unemployed citizens starting unlicensed and uninsured makeshift companies, how are you staying busy? Are you offerring more for less? I am considering a customer loyalty program. Any ideas? Also have any of you started window cleaning and what are some of the considerations that need to be taken when adding this service to my company? I have many loyal customers but have lost many to foreclosure and low ballers. I would like to start a conversation on what works for you! Share with me. Thank you!

Hey Neighbor I've seen your rig on the road quite abit thru the years.I hear you about all the new guys out there, some serious low balling going on.I'm not worried about them at all, they come and they go.All I can tell you is to always be better than the rest.Never be late,do a 100% job,and be fair priced. It really is that simple.Think of a service you may use, lawn maint. for example. The guy shows up the same time each week, never an excuse, does a top notch job,and charges fairly.I dont think you'd evan consider another company, plus you'll recommend him to others.

I have had 7 lawn guy's in 14 yrs, how long are you guys in buisness? What the hell does your slogan mean? Dont Beat It Treat It? I can tell you what cums to my mind when i say it.

Hey guys,

Jim in Jupiter here, Dale I think we met in Tampa at the RT. I see so many new guys with machines strapped on their pool trailers and bidding work at rock bottom prices it really gets deppressing. However I know that they will never get my customers because of the quality service I provide. Plus I work with my shirt off and the older ladies love it. LOL
I sometimes park my rig with my advertising on it at the food court section of the mall on the weekends and I always get calls from that. It's a tough market and any little thing you can do to bring in the work is worth it.

Well Nick thats my point,90% of pressure cleaners like landscapers suck.To stay busy ya gotta be the best.Nick, for the record I started in 1989 and have been the sole PC sub contractor for Toll Bros. for south Fl since 1994.Jim I'd be carefull with that shirt thing around LakeWorth if you know what I mean Ha Ha

Toll Bros in based out of Hersham PA.Largest luxury home builder in US.I clean 8 developments on this side for them.I know they have a prod. in ft. myers. They must not have anything in your area.Solid company I have no complaints.

Dale
Toll brothers nice account! I guess your way past parking your rig at the food court. LOL!! I usually never have to leave the Northern part of palm beach county, there are just so damn many country clubs up here. I am trying to pick up more commercial stuff this year office buildings, shopping centers, etc..

Work is picking up, no window cleaning for me. Our prices are down but maintaining our quality service. I don't compete with low ballers but m pricing has been cut due to economy. Customers need it and I'm happy to do it.

Slogan refers to chemical treatmment as opposed to pressure cleaning a roof. No dirty thoughts. Stared in May of 2006!

Some parts of the country are starting to recover, some will take a while.

When you help out your customers, they will hopefully remember you and reward you with ongoing work as the years go by, of course there are the forever price shoppers but there are still some loyal customers out there.

Doing a good deed rarely goes unrewarded, sometimes you have to look hard to see the reward.

More and more people are helping customers to afford the services they need even though it may look like they have the money to afford it, sometimes looks can be deceiving.

You have to get out there and do what you have to do to make it.

Good Luck.

Reef Pressure Cleaning

Hey Alan hows the fire fighting/paramedic thing going for you?

Hey, Reef last time I talked to you and your DAD at Pool Pros, you and your dad decided to do away with chemical roof cleaning and were planning on cleaning roofs by way of pressure cleaning. Has that helped or hurt business for Reef?

OH yeah that lasted for about 6 roofs. haha
Every once in a while I'll get a "brain fart" and forget why I switched to chems.
As far as the business, It made no difference, people want cheap cheap cheap. :grin-devilish:

How has S. Fl. been for you guys lately?

I was born and raised in W.P.B.
Lived on Gun Club Rd. before I moved to Tn. My aunt and unlce live just west of Jog Rd. off of Forrest Hill. Cant remember the name of their subdivision.
