Rock though winsheild

Had a driver call and tell me he had a rock go though his windsheild.He's cut pretty bad,face,ears and the rock hit him in the right arm taKING hair off,said he was ok but hurt like ....,.The rock came from a overpass in N.J.,if it wasn't for his sunviz'or it would have hit him in the chest or head.Said he was able to keep everything under control until he got off the road but said it was a wonder he didn't take out a few 4wheelers while doing so......Yel life on the open road with never ending stories.
 
I used to be a supervisor at a local dairy.
We had a driver that was making his early morning delivery that was cruising down the freeway in central Phoenix. Some punk kids dropped a brick off of the over pass and hit the center of the windshield. It went through the windshield, through the back window, (no Sleeper) and destroyed the reefer unit on the trailer. It scared the driver so bad, ( a 6'4" 275 lb. bad a**) that he lost all control of his bodily functions. They actully had to call in a company that is used to dealing with crime scenes and have them clean up all of the bodily excrements. It was pretty gross. I am glad the driver wasn't hurt, but he was a lot easier to deal with after that.
 
i remember hearing stories like that 5 years ago. i used to be young and stupid myself(never done anything like that) and now that i am older it pisses me off when i see a young kid act crazy and reckless endagering the lives of innocent people.
 
Sometimes I wonder and wonder as to why.

Sunday I get a call that my kus boy had drown'd in a lake in the show me state,him and his two friends where found about 50 ft. from the bank,the coldwater gotem.

Sunday night I get a call that my dads sister had died,she lived in Cal.

Then I get a call from a trucker friend this morn about the rock going though his windsheild.

Well also today I seen a teenage boy killed by a train,will it just happened he was still laying there by the side of the tracks,they said he stepped in front of the train,It wasn't a pretty site to see.

I washed one more truck and went to the house,just wasn't in the cleaning mood after the rock and train.I can sorta see the drownings and dads sister but the other two I wonder alot as to in Gods name why,one trying to take others lives and one taking his own................enjoy today b/c you never know what tomorrow may bring.

That's a helluva bad 2 day run of bad news you had there Bigboy and I'm real sorry to hear about those people losin their lives. The ones that got me the most were those kids who drowed. Lost my nephew who's a expert kyaker 2 years ago to it. He didn't have a wetsuit on in spring runoff, made a mistake, and paid for it with his life


I don't sit around and gripe about my problems anymore cause none of us has to look very far to find someone in alot worse shape than we'll ever be.

Take care of your family, enjoy life to the fullest, be good to the underdog and maybe, just maybe everything will be alright!!
