Rinsing off a roof........

I see Banjo Ball Valves, I See Banjo Ball Valves ....
What reels are those Tim, and swivels ?
You MUST rinse them out, huh ?

I just LOVE that first shot of rust out of an unrinsed steel hose reel, LOL

I just LOVE it whan the customer would say " But, that rust was NOT on my roof before you came"
My response ?
Mrs Customer, that Rust WAS on your roof before we came, it was just hidden by the black Mold"
"For an additional charge :) we will remove the Rust"
JUST KIDDING

We only run bleach solutions through the one closest to the cab. The quick shot of rust coming through the line lets me know when I'm close to getting my mix, ha ha. I had planned on getting a hannay or titan when this one died, but it keeps working. We use the same reel to send mix and rinse so it gets rinsed out after every application, maybe that's why it lasts. Same for the brass swivels I guess.

Those little yellow handles are a dead give a way for the ole banjo

Yep, I chose the banjos because I can mount them to the deck. I use two 3way valves on the truck and they have held up nicely. I'm looking at adding an 12v actuator to my main 3way so I can put a keychain remote on it. I need to do a bunch of things if I can get some down time.

That "shot of rust" can be a REAL trip
Especially on a light colored roof ;)
And yes, the brass swivels do last well, at least as well as the stainless, and they are cheaper too :)
Not quite as long as the plastic Titan swivels, they last a couple months longer, unrinsed.
I KNOW a Banjo when I see one, lot's of "music" on that truck.
Sounds like the grand ole oprey rolling down Tallahassee Streets :D

We always "prime" ours at the street so we know love is on the way when we get on the roof. The rusty water is left at the street gutter, not on the roof.

We dont, we feel a hose w/o chemicals in it is easier to pull up a roof.
We get on the roof, then the ground man starts the pump.
The stainless titan reel dont "rust" like the steel ones.
But, even when using a steel one, you can always "spit" the rust on an unseen flat roof, or on the bitchy neighbors favorite vegatation:D
Gotta LOVE That "Rusty Love"
Rusty Love ..... it's whats for dinner

We don't see enough come out to worry about really. I couldnt get titan to make me one with a 3/4" waterway in the size I needed, nice guy and great reels though.

Mine is 1/2 inch, the biggest he will do :(
Dont let anyone tell you that small length dont matter, Bull Chit, it does.
What we all need is a PVC core reel ??

Same here bro

Our reel is SS and it rusts as well. There is no good SS sold here anymore. :(

can you stick a plactic insert in the reel, like pvc or something? or just get a cheap reel and run the hose straight threw the middle? Cant afford stainless steal. besides my nephews steal anything shiney.
