Rinsing a roof

I'm gonna add roof cleaning next yr but a question I haven't found an answer for is.....The water used in rinsing, where does it come from? Do you bring it with you or do you use the HO's water? Another question is..... When you go clean a roof do you also try to add a house washing also?
Thanks for any answers.

i use the HO water, you can ask to add it, but most just want what the HOA says to do. i just started roofs this year, way out in the woods they have no water pressure so i open a hydrent close to there house and full up, i dont like sloshing around a lot of anything traveling to a job.

i sure do, and im just happy to get paid for the roof so i dont try to up sell the house to unless they ask. besides the smell from the chems are so strong that they dont come out untill your finished. they dont know whos water you used.

Always upsell the house wash. You could offer a 10% multi-job
discount or something to make them feel their getting a deal.
I always tell them up front I will be using their water.

Very few water pressure issues around here, so using the HO water is not a problem in that respect. Some HO's don't want me to use it, but when I tell them it is an added cost ($25 and up) to bring my own, they usually decide to let me use theirs.
I always try to upsell. You won't know what they are willing to have done if you don't ask for the business, or at least suggest other services. I have gone back to do more services for people who I tried to upsell, but weren't ready. I always let them know that if I do multiple services on one trip it will cost less than having me come back multiple times.
If I get the upsell, I will always try to find a little something to throw in for free. I washed an elderly ladies car in July as a freebie and she was so thrilled, she told all of her neighbors. I got 4 more jobs within 2 weeks from that little thing. The car took me less than 10 minutes while my daughter was still rinsing the plants.
Try something like that. It can pay off.

I did a house wash and got some overspray on their car.
When we got done with their house, we washed their car, they were
across the street and had no idea why we washed it.
I told them we always like to do something for free.
They asked if we could wash their other car, he give me ten bucks.
Then we washed 4 more for the neighbors. Made a quick 50 for 20 min
of work. I ran out of towels or could've done 6 more.
