Lately I’ve been digging into my family history and it turned out more interesting than I expected. My grandmother was born in Lithuania, and my parents always mentioned it casually, but I never thought much about it. A few months ago, while sorting old papers, I found copies of her birth records and some documents from before she emigrated. That’s when I started wondering if restoring Lithuanian citizenship by descent is actually realistic or just sounds good on paper. The rules online feel a bit overwhelming, and everyone seems to have a slightly different story. Has anyone here gone through this process or looked into it seriously? I’m curious how complicated it really is.
