Removing Tire Marks On Driveway?????

Having trouble removing tire thread marks that have been on a while from painted decorative driveways. Even some little oil spots are hard to remove completely. What is safe on painted driveways? I clean mine right away but the average waits a year. Even a brush would not take it off. Thanks Anna

on painted surfaces it is very difficult to remove tire marks with out damaging the paint.

I'm not familiar with any chemicals that would remove rubber with out a problem.

i know someone will have a trick in there tool box.

IN MY JANITORIAL DIVISION WE USE A PRODUCT THAT IS IN A SPRAY CAN CALLED "BASEBOARD CLEANER " . YOU CAN PROBABLY FIND IT AT A JANITORIAL SUPPLY HOUSE. ANYWAY I HAD SOME NASTY SPOTS ON MY DRIVEWAY AND I SPAYED IT ON AND LET IT SET , AND SCRUBBED WITH A SMALL WIRE BRUSH. NOW THIS WAS REGULAR CEMENT NOT COLORED. RECENTLY I CHECKED AND COULD NOT FIND THE SPOTS. AS ALWAYS TEST FIRST. ROTSA RUCK. DAN COSGROVE

Anna,

On some of the store front jobs I do there are tire scuff marks on the front curbs. I won't say they come off every time, but the concrete cleaner we use along with hot water removes most of the marks.
