Removing oil stains from asphalt?

I'm in need of some help. I have a large asphalt parking area that needs to be cleaned for a customer that is planning on sealing it. There are old oil stains that I do not know how to remove so he doesn't run into problems with the sealer he is using. It is for a large company. We have hot water units but I need some chem options. Any help would be appreciated!

Im hesitant to answer bc Im sure there are guys that know more about this than me but it seems like if you just put some degreaser on there and scrub then rinse with heat then repeat that a couple of times it should be fine. If its sealer problems he is afraid of i would think removing the loose oil is the main thing.

So the asphalt sealing company should know that they are supposed to pre-prime the oil spots before using the slurry seal or other seal coating products. There should not be a need to treat the oil stains.

Don't try to remove oil from asphalt because chances are you will make a mess of it. Asphalt is aggregate bound together with oil based compounds, take those compounds away with heat and degreasers and you just have gravel or really pitted asphalt. Been there done that, did more research, got older and wiser!
