Removing efflorescence from brick

What should I do here? Chemical for removal? Seal or not?

Looks like rust, efflorescence and possibly a little mildew. Obviously it is from the air conditioners. Could that be aluminum oxide instead of efflorescence?

For that I would use effortless and One restore both from Eaco Chem. I second what Doug said...
 
This is one of the BEst effloresce removal by a Window Cleaners I have ever seen
What would I use to remove efflorescence from brick? Would simple cherry and chlorine do the trick or do I need the hard stuff like muriatic acid, which Id really rather not use

Theres about 5 brick columns like this at street level. They are all under that steel canopy in the photos.

Any and all tips are greatly appreciated!
