We are sending some packages to Afghanistan this year. As long as we have troops deployed in war zones we will try to keep this up. It makes us feel good to do this and we know that the troops really appreciate this too. There is one Marine who we will be sending to this year, and he will share everything among the troops where he is. His father-in-law is a friend of mine, and this guy is on his first deployment.
We will happily accept donations of cash or items to send from the pressure wash community. Many of you have been generous in the past. If you are sending anything to us, be sure to post it here on PWI. I'd like folks to see your generosity. If you want the troops to know who sent them stuff, give us business cards to throw into the packages. If you send something but want it kept on the DL, be sure to say so in a note in the package.
As always, Sun Brite Supply will cover the cost of sending all packages. We will be sending a few packages of our own, too. Items like deodorant, shampoo, edibles like nuts, playing cards, hard candies, and things that will survive a rough three week journey are good to send. Items that can be handed out to kids are always good things to send. Items like chocolate cakes just won't survive the trip. Sorry.
Cash is always good. We use it to shop for stuff at Sam's.
If you are sending goods, try to get them here by December 5'th. We will pack stuff up and send it on the 7th. Hoping to get it there by the 25'th.
If you are sending cash, you can use PayPal and send it to my email (pete@sunbritesupply.com). You can also call in with a credit or debit card (770-277-9924) and we will handle the rest. If you are sending money, try to get it to us by the 4'th of December so we can go shopping with it.
As always, anything you might do - no matter how small or large - is greatly appreciated by people a long way from family during the holidays.
Thank you to all donors, both for this year and for years past. What you do makes a difference. A big difference.
Pete
