Rate for Parking Garages in CO

I have a friend here that his wife buys them for around $10.00 each as baby fish but the biggest part is that she drives all around town to pick them and only likes the best looking fish.

It is not just the money but the time and emotional connection that starts that makes them valuable, kind of like being part of the family now. That is why they care for them so much so you have to be very careful.

University Lofts - you bid that too. I just sent mine this morning though. I am a bit concerned with being able to get the equipment down into that garage.

Hey Nicole how has things been?

I'm sure they will keep on calling people until they gather 20 or 30 bids and take the lowest bid in the stack. I'm sure the company they award the bid to won't have a problem fitting there home depot pressure washer in that garage. It's a shame. Did you ask if they are even requiring insurance. Last time I talked to her she said the company that they were looking at using would have it done in half a day. I bet they will do a great job in a half days work.
 
Matt - I talked to a guy when I bid it, and now there is another guy there that took over. I think there was some confusion with the bid. At first they told me it was only floors, then when I submitted my first bid he asked if it covered columns, walls and ceiling, I said um NO. So I had to go back down and submit another bid for the walls, floors, ceilings and columns. Maybe the 1/2 day scenario came from when they only wanted the floors done, but that still doesnt sound right to me.


Anyway your right - a homedepot washer will have no problem fitting down there in the back of a 1980 ranger...

They didnt once ask me about my insurance, I had to bring it up myself. I also had to explain to them to be cautious with who they hire because the have garage heaters and sprinkler heads all over. They didnt seem to care much...just wanted a good price. They will have fun when someone pops a sprinkler head and the fire dept has to come down.

We completed a 200,000 square foot warehouse back in Nov. that had 30 heaters suspended from the ceiling and a fire sprinkler head about every 5' on the ceiling. We had 1 - 40' aerial lift and 1 - 60' aerial lift running in there, took us 5 days to do the ceiling and the walls.

I recommend going to your Sanitation District and ask about their garage cleaning requirements. I would mention all the class II hazardous waste that you would like to give to them along with all of the different detergents. Here in California, I asked the EPA about this. They said if I was to use Caustic Soda, they would find me from the trail it would leave in the water. Every organism in the stream would be dead. The water would be free from all life. This would be a very bad thing..... do You Think?

Trust me, THIS WILL GET THEIR ATTENTION !!!

I would set up a meeting and get a relationship going with the Sanitation District, and then..... oh what the heck, just call me and I will tell you.

Here, a spill of over 42,000 gallons directly into a stream did result in a fish kill. (That's enough SH to clean all the concrete at 70 restaurants monthly for 100 years.) Yet even so, after three years the fish are back and are following fairly closely to predictions of full recovery in 6 years. Note, the PH of the actual stream was raised to 12 which is unacceptable under any circumstances and could easily be taken care of by any responsible person using caustic to clean. Another note, this article is from a fishing magazine. They are concerned that the sodium hydroxide killed the fish and hampered their ability to kill the fish. lol.

Here 5400 gallons spilled from a broken pipe and directly into the waterway. (Again, enough to clean over 10,000 restaurant sidewalks.) Some fish were killed, but the spokesman for the department of fish and game reported:

He said that although it was too early to determine the full effect of the spill on plants and animals in the 108-acre refuge, the spill did not appear to be serious.

"We never like to see fish killed, but it's probably not too devastating," he said.

So my question to everyone is do we want to be represented to the environmental authorities by an org that looks at the worst case scenario, exaggerates it wildly to promote their own business model and presents those exaggerations to authorities and customers, or do we want an org that searches for the truth and fights for the rights of contractors to clean responsibly and sensibly?

There is no question that Sodium Hydroxide can be toxic to wildlife at certain ridiculously high levels. But those levels will never be reached in the course of doing our work when used responsibly. This is the message we need to convey.

My suggestion would be to stop giving money to orgs that are working against you.
