I talked to the client, and he has a bid for $5,000. I was thinking a lot higher price than $5,000, but I think my team could finish in about 5 or 6 days so it would be ok money.

I think I will try it out on my beach home first it has the same sideing.

I would like to hear more about the size and design of this house but I can say that on average our cedar home restoration jobs bill out at 4 to 7 thousand.

If I had a crew on a cedar restoration job for 6 days it would be billed out closer to 12 thousand. Not knowing your market it would be tough to give you a square foot price. Just based on the information you have given I can come up with four possible scenarios.

1. The customer is not being completely honest about the quote he has.

2. The company who provided the quote is going to "blow and go."

3. Your market will not bare what I consider to be the "going rate."

4. The system you use for removing the old finish and reapplication is not as efficient as it could be.

I would expect to spend no more than 2.5 days or 40 man hours on a $5,000.00 job.

Feel free to give me a call, I would love to know what the square footage of the home is.
