I have a question. When I finish using my equipment and relief pressure from the lines when I try to disconnect the nozzle from the gun im having a hard time getting it off also the hose line.whats going on?
 
Do you also squeeze the gun trigger before attempting a disconnect? The gun can still be pressurized.

If using multiple connections,..remove the one at the trigger first. Other than that,..all couplers aren't created equal,...replace couplers,..Also,..doesn't hurt to give em' a shot of lubricant once in a while.

the quick connect plug will develop a ridge along the edge where the plug meets the stainless balls in the coupler. you can file off the ridge to make it smooth again or I will use a pliers and turn the plug as the teeth of the pliers will wear it down. Once you do this you usually will not have to do it again as the compression that created the ledge will usually harden the plug a little.

I use a "PLUMBERS GREASE" it is clear/white grease from a plumbing suppliers. I coat the plug in (nozzle) and after its plugged into the quick connect I rotate it two or three times to spread the grease on the inside, Balls and "O" ring all gets a good lube up. NEED TO BE DONE OFTEN because the water and cleaning products soon wash it off.
 
Paul is correct,..I forgot about that issue,..had it many times and actually did the file trick numerous times. Since I went to stainless fittings several years ago,..the issue is no longer there.

Keep extra files around like people mentioned, they work wonders. I keep a coarse and a fine in the trailer at all times. Also keep in mind with the filing, it's meant to extend the life of the plug, but it still has a finite life.

Another note, my most recent viton o-rings seemed to be stiffer than my last batch. I found I had to push in harder and twist while disconnecting my QDC's, just to get the coupler sleeve to slide. Like most repetitive things, it's now almost second nature to disconnect them now.
 
I m pretty sure this guy hasn't used his equipment enough to cause the mushrooming of the plug. He probably just isn't used to disconnecting the coupler. Sometimes you have to push in the nozzle plug, gun plug or hose plug in, at the same time you are pulling the sleeve open. If you aren't used to it, it can seem hard.
 
Lube them up and release all pressure first.
 
Great pro tip with the filing. Thanks again you probably just saved me a couple hundred bucks over the coming years
