Hey guys, Luis Michael Orts here with Revitalize...

Just wanted to ask some of our seasoned veterans here in the forums... What are some of the questions you ask to qualify your best customers and what are they typically looking for when they buy into your services?

Something to think about....

Write your answers below and tell me your thoughts!

Questions you ask, how often do I see you, how much work will I have, how quickly are you going to pay me!

Questions they want, but might not always ask, Are you going to show up everytime, will you send different guys that give different results, can I count on you to make my life easier so I don't have to worry about you!

This is definitely something to think about. A lot of contractors I've seen are so focused on "Me, Me, Me", they forget that we're in a service industry! Giving our clientele a great service is what it should be all about!

Are you searching for lowest price service only or Professional results from a Professional Company at a reasonable rate?

Guy, this is great. By asking them this, you'll quickly find out whether or not they're serious about getting quality work. Right on!

Would you date an ugly women if you could have a gorgeous one?

Do you like steak or do you prefer eating beans?

You like living in a house or a box?

We make choices in life, why wouldn't you treat the business the same way !

I make the decision if I'm working with someone. Not everyone can be my client.

Most here are saying but if I didn't take that job last week I would starve. If your starving go get a job. Your always going to be broke with that attitude.

Like anything in life hard work lies ahead. Yes it gets easier as good client list grows.

If your taking everyone you will loose good ones. Not everyone is equal. Stop treating it Such.

People who Are easy to get will go as quickly as they came.

You have to earn a great customers trust. There's no magical thing to building these relations. You have to be honest an show them you are serious.

Reverse the analogy , if your the ugly girl why should they use you?

If your the box why use you?

If your that tough piece of meat when they could have my juicy filet why would they want you?

Look for the right clients is only a step in many processes to earn the trust.

Are you married?

But yes Ron, that is good stuff. Choosing your clients... Not them choosing you... You've told me this before. But now you put it in perspective.

great thread.

a few i always ask, however are very generic and probably already asked...

- has the area been pressure cleaned before? if so, when, and were you happy with the results? (tells me how long its been/or how *regularly* ($$) they have it done, and by asking if they were pleased with results, may possibly warn me of problematic or stubborn areas)

- "if i may ask, why have you decided not to use the company or contractor you have previously used in the past?" … the answers from that one are always money in the bank!! answers like: unprofessional, killed my plants, left lines on the concrete, etc.. and my FAVORITE.. "my husband/I lost their business card." my answer to that - "Ohhh i see, well you won't have to worry about that anymore, because we will be contacting you in 10-12 months to reschedule".. and they love it.

- (for foreclosures/PM/out of state'ers) - Is the water at the property turned on? - nothing like going to a job, find out that the water is turned off.

as stated, these are probably all generic and already asked by most. Hope it helps some of you because it has been very beneficial to me! anddd i would be happy to know that I'm giving back to this board, as it is only a fraction of the help i have received!

and im liking Guy's the best so far. Easy way to fish the bottom feeders out, and identify them. And also a way to make your company stand out by identifying your level of service and professionalism… at least IMO.

but anyway… SUBSCRIBED! and looking for more!

Believe it or not... what may be generic for you, someone else may be reading this and thinking "Holy crap, I wasn't even asking that"

So, good stuff my man.

Anyone else?

I'm with Ron, every customer is not my customer. I have turned down the potential to work with a client, based on info that I gathered during our meeting. As a newbie, its tough cause you want to take every job offer you get. Its a marathon, not a sprint.

As a newbie, I'm still trying to grasp that concept... But it's getting better. I used to almost argue with the customer why they shouldn't choose the competition, and I would show them videos and pictures and explain things to them... and no matter what, my price wasn't low enough...

After a while, I started to build value before I gave a price... and if the value I provided wasn't good enough, then to hell with them. Got to learn to keep the pipeline full, Like DJ would say.

Use your WAND a lot more!! Make sure you get a nozzle protector!

Lol Matt, I've got to chill man... I worked in the club industry as a promoter for 2 years, and I can guarantee you that I had my share of female quick connects. hahaha
