Is there way to mark a thread as a favorite so that you can save it and refer back to it? Is that what subscribing to a thread does?

Doug Look at the top of the thread and see the "thread tools" link, click on it, there will be a drop down menu and them click on "subscribe to this thread" it will notify you by email everytime there is a new post.

Yeah that, noifying me by email has never worked for me. Grant checked it, said everything was correct on his end, I just don;t get the emails.

I think you could bookmark the page and could refer back to it any time you want.

How do you mark the tread as read or mark it in a way that when you refer back you only have to read what is new?

The little blue box just to the left of the thread title takes you to the first post that you haven't seen.
